What should I bring to the theory exam?

The crucial aspect is having a valid ID in your possession – either a passport or an identity card. Without a valid ID, the CBR will not permit you to take the exam.

I purchased a package for the theory app but did not receive anything?

Always check your mailbox and spam for a message from us. Did you buy a package in the app itself? Then contact Apple or Google to fix this.

How long does it take to receive my results after the theory exam?

Upon completing the exam you will immediately see on the screen whether you’ve passed for the exam. You can always find the official result afterwards by logging into My CBR with your DigiD.

How does the Pass Guarantee work?

Our Pass Guarantee gives you an additional opportunity if you do not pass your CBR car theory exam, provided that you have completed our full preparation programme.

To qualify, you must:

  • Purchase the classroom course with the CBR exam package.
  • Purchase and fully complete the online car theory app package.
  • Attend the entire classroom course.
  • Complete all app chapters, exercises and practice exams without skipping content.
  • Take the CBR exam on the agreed date.
  • Submit your Pass Guarantee request within 48 hours after your exam if you do not pass.

When all conditions have been met, we will arrange a new classroom course place and a new CBR theory exam on the next available date.

The Pass Guarantee currently applies to car theory only. It does not apply in cases of absence, fraud or when the preparation requirements have not been completed.

What if I don’t pass the theory exam?

Should you desire another opportunity for the course and exam, you can effortlessly re-register through the website. Plus, if you do so within six months of your prior attempt, you’ll receive a generous 50-euro discount as a token of our appreciation! Alternatively, if you solely wish to retake only the exam, you can arrange it independently through the CBR website.
